According to a couple different news sources, David Bowie, along with Elton John and Mick Jagger, lost $2 million worth of memorabilia in a fire at the Iron Mountain warehouse in London.  Reportedly the items that Bowie lost were some legal papers from his early days.  However, as I’ve bitched on here before, you can’t believe every Bowie news item you read.  It’s a “bunch of cobblers*” as TotalBlamBlam says.

*”Cobblers” means bullshit. Cow patties. Field pies. Just in case anyone was wondering.

A big drag…a friend of mine (also a great and wild talent in my field of animation) lost his home and fifty years-worth of artwork in the recent SoCal wildfires. Pretty wrenching in our little community.

Legal papers, of course, generally make for pretty depressing reading but future archivists will mourn.
